HELBIO S.A. was awarded a contract to build a 5 kWe Fuel Cell Power Unit. The unit will produce both electricity and heat from bio-ethanol and will be installed in one of the largest ethanol producing plans in Greece . It will be based on HELBIO's innovative technology and will be the cumulation of more than ten years of technology developments for hydrogen and energy production from bio-ethanol and other bio-fuels. The Minister of Development Mr. D. Sioufas visited HELBIOs' facilities at PatrasScience Park . Mr. Sioufas toured the laboratory facilities and was informed about the research and deasvelopment efforts underway. He expressed great interest in HELBIOs' latest product, the HT-1000 Fuel Cell Power System, and the GH2 pre-commercial hydrogen generator utilizing biofuels and suitable for hydrogen production for industrial uses and as the core module for refueling stations. HELBIO participated in the very successful “Science & Technology organized by the General Secretariat for Research and Development at the Zappeion in Athens,Greece . HELBIO presented its latest product, the HT-1000 Fuel Cell Power System, which drew great attention from the thousands of the exhibition visitors. Extremely satisfying was the interest of the public and particularly of the younger generation in hydrogen technologies and the benefits they may provide to the environment through their application in power generation and in the transportation sector.
