Metacon (Helbio’s parent company) receives a new order for a system for reforming ethanol into green hydrogen from WattAnyWhere for off-grid electric vehicle charging.

2023-03-10T13:00:12+02:00

The Switzerland based company WattAnyWhere (WaW) orders its second reforming system from Helbio, for conversion from ethanol-to-green hydrogen. The system will be used for on-site production of electricity without connection to the electricity grid, i.e. off-grid. Produced electricity will be used in charging stations for electric vehicle (BEV) charging. This follows a previous order from Metacon’s successful delivery to WaW of a smaller system. The new order becomes a part of WaW’s scaling up as a player with commercial electric car charging stations. [...]

Helbio receives an order from the University of Western Macedonia

2023-03-10T12:58:40+02:00

Metacon through its subsidiary Helbio has received an order from the University of Western Macedonia (“UoW”) in Kozani in Greece for an automated system for studies in the field of catalytic hydrogen production from biogas and bio-methane. The order value amounts to approximately 63 000 EUR and delivery is planned for the fourth quarter, 2023. Using raw biogas for hydrogen production is an attractive solution for producing renewable hydrogen as it is a very large and underutilized non-fossil energy source that exists locally [...]

Metacon and wastewater treatment plant Abwasserverband Kempten (Allgäu) signed MoU for demonstrating the Biogas-to-Green Hydrogen opportunity for Germany and the world

2022-12-08T10:16:21+02:00

Metacon has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abwasserverband Kempten (Allgäu) (“AVKE”), based in Kempten, Germany regarding cooperation in the field of local, off-grid green hydrogen production from biogas using wastewater as methane source. A hydrogen centre will be built on the site of AVKE to which Helbio will supply a mid-size HHG hydrogen generator which, after successful approval, will go into operation in the summer of 2023 to produce non-fossil hydrogen from biogas.  The biogas is currently used to produce about [...]

Helbio has achieved approved CE marking of the first generation of its catalytic reformer-based green hydrogen generator HHG 40

2022-12-08T10:15:32+02:00

Helbio (Metacon’s subsidiary https://metacon.se ) received CE approval for the first model of the Metacon’s Group upcoming series of larger hydrogen generators based on the company’s own patented catalytic reforming technology. The HHG systems target the enormous potential that exists in Europe and the world to be able to produce large amounts of green non-fossil hydrogen from biogas locally, independently of the electricity grid. The market for green hydrogen is growing explosively in line with rapidly increasing insights into the potential for, among [...]
