HELBIO has completed successfully the construction, testing and delivery of a 40m3/h hydrogen system for the AutoRe project an EU financed project. HELBIO designed and built the fuel processor, based on proprietary technologies, and integrated it with a PSA so as to produce high purity hydrogen suitable for low temperature PEM fuel cells. Moreover, the necessary control software has been also developed by Helbio and will be implemented using industrial grade PLC. We are pleased to announce that Helbio S.A. has entered into a preliminary Joint Venture agreement with Prudensco Integrated Systems Pvt. Ltd, India to jointly produce the next generation of APU systems, especially designed for telecommunication and residential applications. Manufacturing of the unit would be set up close to Bangalore. The Minister of Development Mr. D. Sioufas visited HELBIOs' facilities at PatrasScience Park . Mr. Sioufas toured the laboratory facilities and was informed about the research and deasvelopment efforts underway. He expressed great interest in HELBIOs' latest product, the HT-1000 Fuel Cell Power System, and the GH2 pre-commercial hydrogen generator utilizing biofuels and suitable for hydrogen production for industrial uses and as the core module for refueling stations. The kick-off meeting for the WASTE2FUELS EU project took place in Barcelona, Spain on 27th-28th of January 2016. The meeting was held at coordinator's premises (IRIS). WASTE2FUELS is a R&D project (H2020-Low carbon energy program) that aims to develop next generation biofuels technology capable of converting  unavoidable agrofood waste streams into high quality biobutanol. The starting date of the project is January 1st 2016, with a duration of  36 months.

Helbio has announced a technology developing project to produce electricity from harmful olive oil production wastes. Biogas2PEM-FC project was an EU-funded project that Helbio participated and together with partners from Sweden, Spain and UK developed a complete integrated biogas-to-power system.
