Helbio S.A. in Patras, Greece, has received an order from TROPICAL SA Athens Greece, for a 7.5 Nm3/h Fuel Processor operating on Natural Gas . The Fuel processor will produce hydrogen suitable to feed a Low Temperature PEM Fuel Cell. The Fuel processor system processes a Natural Gas feed and delivers hydrogen suitable for Low Temperature PEM fuel cells. Reformation of Natural Gas is carried out in the steam-reforming mode within specially designed reactor/catalyst system. HELBIO, Hydrogen & Energy Production Systems S.A. signed an agreement with the Municipal Agency for Water and Sewage of Patras ( Greece ) for the construction and installation of a unit generating electricity and heat from biogas. The unit will convert biogas to hydrogen which will be fed into a fuel cell producing electricity with high efficiency and zero pollutant emissions. The unit will be in operation in June 2008 and will be of 20kW electrical and 20kW thermal capacity (more details).

In December 2007 Helbio S.A., a Morphic Technologies subsidiary, received an order for an energy system for converting biogas from sewage into electricity and heat. Following a four-month trial period, all tests show that the system has lived up to its promise and Morphic has therefore decided to launch this combination of energy systems in a range of output categories on a wider front in Europe. HELBIO S.A. was awarded a contract to build a 5 kWe Fuel Cell Power Unit. The unit will produce both electricity and heat from bio-ethanol and will be installed in one of the largest ethanol producing plans in Greece . The Minister of Development Mr. D. Sioufas visited HELBIOs' facilities at PatrasScience Park . Mr. Sioufas toured the laboratory facilities and was informed about the research and deasvelopment efforts underway. He expressed great interest in HELBIOs' latest product, the HT-1000 Fuel Cell Power System, and the GH2 pre-commercial hydrogen generator utilizing biofuels and suitable for hydrogen production for industrial uses and as the core module for refueling stations.
